Australian indie rockers British India are bouncing back from their one year hiatus and are touring the east coast this October and November. The band will spend two October dates at Albury's Beer Deluxe and Adelaide's Lion Arts Centre. Come November, they will be performing at Sydney's Crowbar, Narrabeen RSL, the Gold Coast's Soundlounge, Belgrave's Sooki Lounge, Melbourne's The Esplanade, Hobart's Altar Bar and Forth's Bridge Hotel. Apart from these headline shows, the band will also be killing their sets at Stonefest in Canberra, B.I.G. Festival in Geelong and Scene & Heard Festival in Newcastle.
That's not all—band members Declan Melia (vocals and guitar), Will Drummond (bass), and Matt O'Gorman (drums) have also welcomed their new guitarist, Jack Tosi. Matt was on the hunt for a guitarist, and Jack, who was an old school friend of the group, was looking to play once again—it seemed a perfect opportunity. A jam session was arranged, and by the session's end, Jack was in the band and is ready to rock for the upcoming run of shows.
The tour will see the band performing tracks from their entire discography, particularly boasting those from their bulging back catalogue of Australian live favourites. These include Hottest 100 dominating tracks like 'Vanilla', 'I Can Make You Love Me' and 'Suddenly'.
Over the course of their amazing career, British India have earned four Top 10 ARIA albums, eight entries into the Hottest 100 and their classic single 'I Can Make You Love Me' reached Gold status in Australia. Their latest album, Forgetting The Future, garnered high praises for its innovative direction and palpable energy, with singles 'My Love' and 'Precious' both being added to high rotation on both Triple M and triple j radio.
Having just returned from a break, expect British India to tear up stages this spring so book your tickets fast!
