Melbourne International Jazz Festival Reveals First Round Of Artists For Its 2018 Program

With only finishing touches left to do on its 2018 program, the Melbourne International Jazz Festival (MIJF) is shaping up to be another extraordinary jazz event.

As a teaser, it has released four of its Modern Masters shows that will definitely entertain and delight festival-goers. These include the “smoke and whisky” vocals of Madeleine Peyroux, the consummate artistry of Branford Marsalis, the modern-day enchantress of song Gretchen Parlato, and the interstellar sounds of the Sun Ra Arkestra.

MIJF is undoubtedly one of the leading platforms that promotes and celebrates jazz music. For the past two decades, it has been bringing jazz afficionados and jazz lovers together right into the heart of a world class jazz destination—Melbourne.

This year's run will take place across ten days, between 01 to 10 June. It will feature once again an impressive array of late-night art parties, free concerts and events that are perfect for the whole family.
