While they're busy as bees for their biggest U.S. Tour to date, Australian loyals had better be ready 'cause Australia will be the next target of hard rock legends Slipknot. High energy vibe will surely flow out when they squash stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in October.
Slipknot are powdering stages around the world off the back their Grammy nominated album, .5: The Gray Chapter. So far, it has produced five songs that have secured spots on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs Chart: ‘Killpop’, ‘The Devil In I’, ‘Custer’, ‘The Negative One’ and latest single ‘Goodbye’.
The said album was released in October 2014 and sold 132,000 copies in the US in its first week of release. It also notched up at #1 spot on The Billboard 200 chart.
Bursting into the scene in 1999, Slipknot stand out as one of history's most impactful and culturally significant hard rock entities. The group has garnered eleven platinum and 38 gold record certifications worldwide with 2008’s platinum-selling All Hope Is Gone debuting at #1 in seven countries, including the US and Australia. Under their belt are numerous accolades from Kerrang!, Rolling Stone, Revolver, NME, Metal Hammer and more. Most of all, they've earned a Grammy for ‘Best Metal Performance’.
Slipknot will be joined in support by legendary metal outfit Lamb of God.
