Black Sabbath, the fathers of heavy metal, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and arguably the launchpad for Ozzy Osbourne's foray into television (easily the best thing on the tube, ever), are returning to Oz(zy) in 2013 for a tour.
The tour at present will visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Three original members including Ozzy Osbourne (vocalist) Geezer Butler (bassist) and Tony Iommi (guitarist) will be in tow on the tour, playing songs from their upcoming studio album due for release next April, the first in 33 years, and will also smash out rock anthems like Paranoid, War Pigs and Iron Man.
It is unconfirmed whether Ozzy will eat any bats on this tour.
Black Sabbath have sold more than 70 million records worldwide, have probably been illegally downloaded an infinite number of times and are constantly being told they're the bee knees by various institutions of music media, which is totally deserved seeing as how I haven't been able to get Paranoid out of my head since I heard Sabbath were touring.
Tickets go onsale midday Thursday 8 November.
