JMQ Jazz Ensemble feat. Rebecca Barnard + Tony Hicks

JAZZ: On Thursday, JULY 20, 2023, JMQ Jazz Ensemble shall feature wonderful, versatile vocalist, REBECCA BARNARD with stellar tenor saxophonist/ flautist, TONY HICKS, at the welcoming Golden Gate Hotel, South Melbourne at 7pm.

Rebecca: The name 'Barnard' is well-known in the Australian Music & Jazz scene, across three generations, and Rebecca grew up listening to an eclectic mix of music and exposed to the best. While Rebecca is best know for her stunning versatility as a songwriter, band-leader and singer, she also revisits her Jazz roots regularly, with those great jazz standards that were a soundtrack to her youth. She has also recently released a new jazz album.

Tony: is a topline mult-instrumentalist and stalwart of the jazz and wider music world, due to his stunning versatility and talent, in Australia and overseas. He and band-leader John have been colleagues for many decades and it is always a joy to have him in the house. The all star line up shall include Michael Harding (piano), Ben Robertson (bass), David Hicks (drums),John Montesante (trumpet & flugel). Doors 6:30pm. Jazz 7pm.
