Georgia Brooks + Tim Wilson feature with JMQ Jazz Ensemble

On Thursday, Oct 19, 2023, JMQ Jazz Ensemble is delighted to bring Melbourne-based jazz singer, GEORGIA BROOKS to the Golden Gate Hotel, with fine saxophonist TIM WILSON and all-star line up of Tony Floyd (drums), Kim May(d.bass),Michael Harding (piano) and John Montesante (horns).

*Georgia specializes in classic tunes of the 20s, 30s, and 40s, with a deep affection for swing music. She's a familiar face in the city's jazz clubs and has graced the stages of notable festivals like the Melbourne Swing Festival, Castlemaine Jazz Festival, Phillip Island Jazz Festival, and Melbourne International Jazz Festival. With her band Georgia Brooks Swingtet, she released an album 'With Thee I Swing' in 2018. Her performances offer a captivating journey into the vintage world of jazz.
*Tim is one of Australia's finest saxophonists, who also performs internationally with many artists, as well as leading his own jazz ensemble. It is always a joy to have him onstage.
