Kingston Arts is proud to bring you Raconteur Productions' Lost In Venice, a true Australian story.
A story about housewife Rita Vincent and her husband filmmaker Ron, Lost in Venice centres on Ron’s pivotal and ill-fated trip to Italy with his friend Bert Haynes, the founder of Pampus Pastry. It was the summer of 1965 and Bert Haynes never returned.
A fractured tale of travel and identity, longing and belonging and the disparate perspective of relationships from those travelling abroad and those left at home in Australia.
Told through vignettes between a wife and husband from post World War II to present day, Lost in Venice incorporates multi-disciplined techniques of archival film projection and cabaret in this performance to enthral and entrance.
Featuring performers Richard Vegas, Abigail King and Nikki Nouveau.
60 minutes + Post Show Q&A and film screening.
